Set Up Systems In Your Business For Stability and Success

I believe in setting up systems in my business and I teach others through my coaching to do the same.
Systems create stability and structure.
Having systems in place makes it easier to grow.
Systems make projects more scalable so that more can be done without requiring more work.
Systems are the key to better productivity and profitability.
Systems ensure that your business can withstand unexpected events and emergencies.
Because sometimes life just happens.
I discovered this myself recently when my assistant was called away suddenly for a family emergency.
Because of the systems that I had put into place she was able to focus on her family priorities and my business continued without skipping a beat.
Without those systems we would have been scrambling to try and cover for her in a pinch.
Systems are priceless.
But, unbelievably to me, many businesses simply do not have any systems in place at all.
They just run everything by "flying by the seat of their pants" and then when problems arise, they are forced to be reactive rather than proactive in preventing them from the beginning.
In fact, I've worked with clients who seem to run their businesses by jumping constantly from one crisis to the next and actually begin to think that living in crisis mode all the time is ok.
Some of these businesses have run like this from day one and they think it's normal.
They believe that this is the business owner's way of life, that it's the cost of having your own business.
This is absolutely not true, it's not the truth for me and my business and it doesn't have to be the truth for yours either.
I was lucky, I became a business owner at a very young age, and so I did not develop many bad business owner habits.
In fact, when other business owners would talk about the stress, chaos, and busy-ness of being a business owner, I would simply keep quiet because I knew that I was not experiencing their stress.
I didn't want to give the impression that I wasn't working hard enough.
Well, those moments of keeping quiet are long gone.
I had discovered that I was making significantly more money than they were without the stress! Now I want as many people as possible to know that they can have a thriving and profitable business without sacrificing their happiness and health.
Now as clients work with me they get a different perspective about being a business owner.
They learn a less stressful, more fulfilling way to show up in their business and they actually begin to LIKE their work more and can begin to set creative goals and intentions for their future success.
So how do you go about setting up systems? YOUR ACTION PLAN: 1.
Dispel any preconceived ideas you may have about systems being difficult or costly.
These thoughts frequently lead to fear and paralysis in business that can actually prevent you from having the success you want.
2.
Make a list of the critical areas of your business that must be done in order to function properly.
Include who does these things in your list.
3.
Create deadlines for completing these tasks each week and stick to them.
4.
Have a "point of accountability" in place to make sure nothing important accidentally falls through the cracks.
For example: my assistant sends a test newsletter out two days before the final issue is sent so that other eyes can quickly check to make sure it's correct.
It's my job to show you the way to get the results you want and systems are a huge part of getting to those results for EVERY business.
Creating systems is simple when you have the right guidance and direction.
Give systems a try.
Your business will thank you all the way to the bank!
